367999 - J42 RIGHT EXTERNAL REAR VIEW MIRROR ELECTRICAL ADJUSTMENT NOT WORKING

When the control is operated the external mirror does not move

the mirror is adjusted by the Passenger Door Node according to information from the adjustment joysticks located on the driver's door handle.The joystick information (selection, controls) is sent from the Driver's Door Node to the Passenger Door Node.

	Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic connect and check the following at the Driver's Door Node: In errors ambient that there are no faults In parameters ambient the plausibility of the parameters for the selector joystick (left/right)	Move on to Step	1. Presence of faults	1. Continue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment.
			2. Mirror (left/right) selector joystick parameters not plausible	Move on to Step
2	CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Keeping the Examiner diagnostic equipment connected to the diagnostic connector, check the following at the Passenger Door NodeIn errors ambient that there are no faults In active diagnosis ambient the operation of the mirror movement motors	Move on to Step	1. Presence of faults	1. Continue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment.
			2. Adjustment motors not working	Move on to Step
3	COMPONENT CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Remove the driver's door handle, remove the joystick and check the operation of the selector    Continue following the instructions in the test 7005RA Check on operation of door mirror adjustment/folding	Move on to Step	Component faulty	Replace the external mirrors control joystick     See in Op. 7005R40 CONTROL SWITCHES for adjusting exterior rear view mirror(s) - R.R.
