72517 - I21 REAR FOG LAMPS NOT WORKING

One of the two main beam headlamps is not working or is working irregularly;

The rear fog lamps are controlled and diagnosed directly by the Body Computer Node.Any fault detected by the Body Computer Node is displayed on the reconfigurable matrix.

STEP	OPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUT	TEST RESULTS
1	CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT.	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic socket and check the following at the Body Computer Node: that there are no faults at the rear fog lamps the operation of the rear fog lamps the plausibility of the Rear Fog Lamps On/Off parameter.	Move on to Step	1. Error at the rear fog lamps	1. Continue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment
			2. The lights do not come on	Move on to Step
			3.The rear fog lamps on/off parameter does not alter	Move on to Step
2	REAR FOG LAMPS ON COMMAND CHECK.	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the operation of the rear fog lamps on control at the exterior lights control    Continue following the instructions in the test 5540AA Exterior lights control operational check (C.L.E.)	Move on to Step	On/off button faulty	Replace the exterior lights control    See in Op. 5040A20 Air conditioning COMPRESSOR - R.R. - Includes fluid level check and top up if necessary
3	ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CHECK.	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the continuity of the electrical wiring between the exterior lights control and the Body Computer Node.	Move on to Step	Connection broken	Restore the electrical connection (Wiring Diagram ) E2031 REAR FOGLAMPS
4	CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check that the fault is no longer present.		Fault persists	Replace body computer    See in Op. 5505A32 BODY COMPUTER - R.R.
