Amongst all the optional equipment available for this vehicle, there is the choice of a TV tuner for receiving televisual images using the info-telematic control unit display as the video screen.The TV sytem includes the following components:
TV tuner located in the luggage compartment for the transmission of RGB signals;
TV diversity aerials located in the rearscreen;
controls on the info-telematic control unit, voice and remote control;
The info-telematic control unit receives the RGB signals and transmits the relevant commands to the TV tuner where they are transmitted via the I-CAN serial line. The TV tuner is a CAN node through which communication with the info-telematic control unit takes place.The I-CAN line is a special case. As it is exclusively dedicated to this function, it is different from the B-CAN and C-CAN used for the other functions on the vehicle. See E1050 CAN CONNECTION LINESFor safety reasons, the display of the video signal from the TV tuner is automatically disabled if the speed of the vehicle exceeds 7 Km/h.There are plans for the future for a TV connection for the rear displays as well using a specific serial network based on MOST protocol through which it will be possible to manage other sources such as digital VHS and DVD.The system works either with the ignition switched off (+30) or controlled by the ignition (+15) and switches off automatically 20 minutes after the key off. The function is also excluded during starting if the battery supply voltage is less than 10V.
