The side lights are switched on at the same time as the number plate lights directly by the Body Computer Node.

STEP	OPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUT	TEST RESULTS
1	CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT.	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic socket and check the following at the Body Computer Node: that there are no faults	Move on to Step	left front side light error right front side light error right rear side light error left rear side light error	Move on to Step
2	ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CHECK.	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the condition of the bulbs Check the continuity and the insulation of the wiring for the front and rear side lights (Wiring Diagram ) E2010 SIDE LIGHTS/NUMBER PLATE LIGHT	Move on to Step	1. Bulbs burnt out	1. Replace the bulbs
		Move on to Step	2. Connections broken/short circuited	2. Restore the electrical connection (Wiring Diagram ) E2010 SIDE LIGHTS/NUMBER PLATE LIGHT
3	CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT.	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Keeping the Examiner diagnostic equipment connected, check the operation of the number plate lights in active diagnosis	Move on to Step	None of the side lights come on	Replace body computer See in Op. 5505A32 BODY COMPUTER - R.R.
4	CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check that the fault is no longer present
