367999 - J42 RIGHT EXTERNAL REAR VIEW MIRROR ELECTRICAL ADJUSTMENT NOT WORKING

When the control is operated the external mirror does not move
the mirror is adjusted by the Passenger Door Node according to information from the adjustment joysticks located on the driver's door handle.The joystick information (selection, controls) is sent from the Driver's Door Node to the Passenger Door Node.
STEPOPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUTTEST RESULTS
1CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic connect and check the following at the Driver's Door Node: In errors ambient

  • that there are no faults
In parameters ambient

  • the plausibility of the parameters for the selector joystick (left/right)
Move on to Step 1. Presence of faults1. Continue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment.
2. Mirror (left/right) selector joystick parameters not plausibleMove on to Step
2CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Keeping the Examiner diagnostic equipment connected to the diagnostic connector, check the following at the Passenger Door NodeIn errors ambient

  • that there are no faults
In active diagnosis ambient

  • the operation of the mirror movement motors
Move on to Step 1. Presence of faults1. Continue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment.
2. Adjustment motors not workingMove on to Step
3COMPONENT CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

4ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Remove the left rear view mirror, disconnect the connector for the movement motors, remove the Passenger Door Node and check:

  • the continuity between the connector and the Passenger Door Node
  • the presence of the joint supply positive (Wiring Diagram ) E3032 EXTERIOR MIRRORS ADJUSTMENT
Move on to Step 1. Electrical connection interruptedMove on to Step
2. No positive supplyMove on to Step
5ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CHECK.ALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
