72574 - K25 ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE NOT WORKING

With the ignition on, the engine coolant temperature gauge in the instrument panel is not working;
the engine temperature and the engine temperature sensor signal is made available by the "engine management node" via the C-CAN; the "body computer node" makes the message available on the B-CAN via the gateway and then to the instrument panel.

Check the following with the engine running:

  • That there is no engine temperature sensor failure message at the reconfigurable matrix and that the engine warning light is not on
Move on to Step Presence of failure messages and/or warning light onMove on to Step
1CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic connector and check the following at the engine management node:in errors ambient

  • that there are no faults
Move on to Step Presence of faultsContinue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment

Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic connector check the following at the instrument panel node:in active diagnosis ambient

  • the operation of the engine temperature gauge.
