) - Open the boot, remove the cover on the left hand side and disconnect the negative battery lead. See in Op. 7040D50 ENGINE COMPARTMENT UPPER SOUND INSULATION SHIELD - R.R. See in Op. 1016A40 Ignition COIL COVER on cylinder head - R.R.1. Undo the bolt (1a) and loosen the bolt (1b), then rotate the reaction rod connecting rod (1c).2. Undo the bolt for the engine oil dipstick pipe and move it gently away from the work area.

1. Undo the bolts fixing the bracket to the bodyshell.

Take great care not to damage the power assisted steering system pipes.

2. Remove the bracket on the bodyshell for the reaction rod.

Refitting ( Removing

) - Position the bracket on the bodyshell for the reaction rod.- Secure the bracket tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

Take great care not to damage the power assisted steering system pipes.

- Position the engine oil dipstick pipe and secure it using the bolt.- Rotate the reaction rod connecting rod and tighten the fixing bolts to the recommended torque.
