841003249 - E2010 SIDE LIGHTS/NUMBER PLATE LIGHT OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION

Operational Description

A negative side light activation signal is received from the exterior lighting control unit HO92 via pin 4 connector A at Body Computer M001 pin 28 connector C when it is switched to POS.Once an activation signal is received, Body Computer M001 manages the front and rear side light and number plate light operating strategy. Front lights F010 and F011 receive an activation signal respectively from pins 40 and 30 of connector B respectively. For tail-lights F030 and F031, the signal is received from pins 5 and 6 of connector F of Body Computer M001.The latter also receive a direct supply from the luggage compartment junction unit B045 because they are equipped with a control unit which controls the voltage/current for working at operating temperature. When the exterior lighting control unit H092 is switched to P Park position, pin 11 of connector B sends out a negative parking light activation signal to Body Computer M001 pin 12, connector H.The "side lights on" warning light inside instrument E050 is supplied simultaneously.Follow me home function can be sent from info-telematic control unit M065. Connector A.The instrument panel receives a supply controlled by the ignition and a direct supply. The side lights may be activated automatically by switching exterior lighting control unit wheel H092 to AUTO.Once Body Computer M001 receives an exterior lighting command from dusk and rain sensor K125, it adjusts side light activation and deactivation if the AUTO control is on.The rain and dusk sensor K125 inside ceiling control unit M062 communicates information to Body Computer M001 at pin 7 connector F via serial A-BUS line. Signals are sent at 1 second intervals.Info-telematic control unit M065 receives the light level at pin 18 of connector A from exterior light control unit H092 and relays it via the B-CAN network to pins 1 and 3 of connector A to body computer M001 that transfers it to dusk sensor K125 via the serial A-BUS network.Dusk sensor light sensitvity may be set by a dimmer on exterior light control unit H092.The body computer M001 receives a supply controlled by the ignition and a direct supply at pins 11 of connector H and pin A of connector B, respectively for the junction unit under the dashboard B002.The control unit inside left tail-light F030 communicates with the unit inside right tail-light F031 at pins 7 and 8 respectively and sends any fault signal to the Body Computer M001 at pin 6 of connector A.Number plate lighting unit F055 receives an activation signal from pin 9 of connector F and 38 of connector G of Body Computer M001 respectively.Once an activation signal is received, Body Computer M001 manages the front and rear side light and number plate light operating strategy. The parking lights can always be turned on because they are supplied directly from the battery. The display shows side light faults and activation and duration of the follow-me-home function. Signals are sent on B-CAN lines from Body Computer M001. The display also indicates faults in rain and dusk sensor K125.This signal is sent from B-CAN A and B-CAN B lines to pins 1 and 3 of connector D. The control unit is supplied by a line protected by fuse F39 inside underfacia junction unit B002.These lines are protected by fuses F37 and F53 of the junction unit under the dashboard B002, respectively. Pins 8 and 9 of connector E of the body computer are earthed. In this way, body computer M001 receives two negative signals from pins 4 ("POS") and 11 ("STAZ") connector A of exterior lighting control unit H092.Info-telematic control unit M065 receives the light level at pin 18 of connector A from exterior light control unit H092 and relays it via the B-CAN to pins 1 and 3 of connector D. The body computer M001 transfers it to dusk sensor K125 via the serial A-BUS network. This receives an ignition-operated power supply from Body Computer m001 protected by fuse F51 inside the underfacia junction unit. This receives an ignition-operated power supply from Body Computer m001 protected by fuse F51 inside the underfacia junction unit.Instrument panel E050 displays any faults in the dusk sensor and the buzzer to indicate when the lights have been left on accidentally for the parking function.Dusk sensor light sensitvity may be set by a dimmer on exterior light control unit H092.
