841003384 - E2020 DIRECTION INDICATORS/HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION
Operational Description
The direction indicator signals are sent to pin 7 of connector E and pin 30 of connector C of the body computer M001 by the steering column switch unit H005.The negative activation signal for the hazard warning lights reaches pin 34 of connector C of M001 from the hazard warning lights switch H020.The Body Computer M001 controls the supply of the side direction indicators F020 (left) and F021 (right) from pins 2 and 22 of connector A, the front direction indicators F010 (left) and F011 (right) from pins 38 and 39 of connector B and the rear direction indicators F030 (left) and F031 (right) from pins 12 and 3 of connector F -.The latter also receive a direct supply from the luggage compartment junction unit B045 because they are equipped with a control unit which controls the voltage/current for working at operating temperature. The control unit inside left tail-light F031 communicates with the unit inside right tail-light F030 at pins 7 and 8 respectively and sends any fault signal to the Body Computer at pin 6 of connector A.The instrument panel receives a supply controlled by the ignition and a direct supply. These lines are protected by fuses F37 and F53 of the junction unit under the dashboard B002, respectively. Pins 8 and 9 of connector E of the body computer are earthed. The key-on signal (INT) for the ignition switch H001 reaches the junction unit under the dashboard B002 at pin 11 of connector H and from there goes to the body computer M001 pins 9 and 13 (the latter protected by fuse F37) of connector E.The latter sends lights on LED positive signal (located inside H020) to pin 29 of connector C of the body computer M001.
