Six ground lights (puddle lights) are located on the two front doors, the two rear doors and the door mirrors.The function is active under Key-on conditions (INT), Key-off conditions (STOP). The light activation strategy is managed by the Body Computer and also by various control units in the front doors and in the boot compartment by means of a CAN network.The puddle lights on the door mirrors are activated again when the doors are released via the remote control.When one of the two front doors is opened, the relevant puddle light comes on for 3 minutes. The light goes off at the end of this period. If the door is closed before the end of the set period, the bulb goes off immediately.When the "driver/passenger front door open" status is received on the CAN network, both control units on the front doros turn on the puddle lights on the driver and passenger side door mirrors.When one of the two rear doors is opened, however, both rear lights are turned on and the 3 minute timer is restarted.If both rear doors are closed within the timing period, the two puddle lights must go off. Both rear bulbs are connected in parallel.
