| Carry out the following preliminary checks, in order:- set the speed limit at 30 km/h and road test the vehicle at a higher speed to make the warning light come on and the buzzer sound. Check that the buzzer has not been disabled
- With the ignition ON, check that the engine oil pressure warning light, water in diesel filter warning light (in the case of a JTD engine) and the MIL warning light carry out the initial test and then switch off on starting.
- If the vehicle is equipped with a rain sensor, with the ignition ON, place the ring nut on the right steering column switch unit lever in the intermediate position and check that the windscreen wiper system carries out the operating check.
- If the vehicle is equipped with a dusk sensor, place the ring nut for the left steering column switch unit lever in the AUTO position, cover the sensor and check that the dipped headlamps come on.
- If the vehicle is equipped with parking sensors, engage reverse gear and check that the buzzer sounds.
- If the vehicle is equipped with anti-crush window sensors, lower the front windows, place an obstacle in the path of the window and close the window. Check that the window stops and goes back down
