STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDRESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1Check the front ultrasound sensor power supply

  • Key in on position

  • Engage reverse gear

  • Press the parking sensor disablement button located on the front courtesy light and ensure the led on the button is on (sensors enabled)

  • Connect the voltmeter with the positive probe at pin 1 and the negative earth probe for the sensor connector and check that there is a positive voltage of 12 V

  • Renew the wiring between the parking sensor control unit and the sensor involved

  • Replace the sensor

  • Replace the parking sensor control unit

2Rear ultrasound sensor power supply check

  • Key in on position

  • Engage reverse gear

  • Connect the voltmeter with the positive probe at pin 1 and the negative earth probe for the sensor connector and check that there is a positive voltage of 12 V

  • Renew the wiring between the parking sensor control unit and the sensor involved

  • Replace the sensor

  • Replace the parking sensor control unit
    Op. 5580H10 PARKING OBSTACLE DETECTION DEVICE ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT - R.R.
3Check the earth

  • Connect the voltmeter with the red probe at pin 3 and the positive probe earthed and check that the voltage is 0 Volt

  • Renew the broken wiring between the NSP and the sensor involved

  • Replace the sensor

  • Replace the parking sensor control unit

4Ultrasound signal checkPlace the key in the ON position

  • Connect the voltmeter with the positive probe to pin 2 and the negative probe earthed

  • Press the START button on the Examiner. The figures in the image that appears must be evaluated with a tolerance of about 20%. They should in any case be similar to the graph in the figure.

  • Replace any faulty rear sensor(s)

  • Replace any faulty front sensor(s)

  • Replace the parking sensor control unit
