STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDRESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
Press the START/STOP button and turn off the engine.Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the timing sensor.Press the START/STOP button.Check that the voltage across pin 1 of the control unit    See K047 TIMING SENSOR and earth is between 4.8 and 5.2 VRepair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the timing sensor and the engine control unit    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
Check that the voltage across pin 1 and 3 of the sensor    See K047 TIMING SENSOR is between 4.8 and 5.2 VMove on to Step 4Move on to Step 3
Repair any faults in the wiring between the engine control unit and the timing sensor    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT The test can be considered overReplace the engine management control unit    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - .R
Check that the voltage across pin 2 of the control unit    See K047 TIMING SENSOR and earth is between 4.8 and 5.2 VMove on to Step 3
Check for faults in the timing sensor, such as intermittent contacts, missing teeth, reference point or incorrect gapRestore correct operation.Replace the timing sensor if necessaryOp. 5510CG CHECK ON OPERATION OF TIMING SENSOR
Replace the timing sensorOp. 5510CG CHECK ON OPERATION OF TIMING SENSORand check the fault has disappeared. The test can be considered overRepair the original timing sensor and replace the engine management control unit.    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - .R
