1Press the START/STOP button and turn off the engine.Reconnect any disconnected componentsTurn off all the electrical users.Press the START/STOP button.In the under-dashboard junction unit baseinsert a new fuse F35 (second from the right in the upper row) and check it cuts in.Move on to Step 3A temporary current overload has occurred in the system behind fuse F35. move on to Step 2
2If faults are present, restore the correct operation of the under-dashboard control unit wiring.Replace it if necessary.The test can be considered overReplace the junction unitOp. 5505A18
3Press the START/STOP button.Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the brake pedal switch.Press the START/STOP button.Check that fuse F35 does not cut inMove on to Step 6
4Connect a shunt cable with a fuse between sensor Pin 4 of the switch    See I030 BRAKE PEDAL SWITCH and the battery positive    See A001 BATTERY Check the brake lights do not come onReplace the brake pedal switch    Op. 5550D10 BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH - R+R
5If faults are present, restore the correct operation of the wiring between the engine control unit and the brake pedal switch    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT Replace if necessary.
