939011489 - E2012 MAIN BEAM HEADLIGHTS - DESCRIPTION (Xenon Gas headlamps)

DESCRIPTION

If the vehicle is equipped with GAS DISCHARGE headlamps, there are two main beams: the first is a specific SPOT light, the second a gas discharge bulb that lights up like a full beam once the shutter for the dipped beam mode is raised. The main beams are switched on by the steering column switch unit:- with the dipped beams on, by pushing the lever towards the dashboard (stable mode)- in flashing mode, by pulling the lever toward the steering wheel (unstable mode)The switching between the dipped beam and main beam functions for xenon bulbs causes the raising of the shutter in the gas discharge bulb, with the switch to the main beam; at the same time, the main beam SPOT light also comes on. The spot light main beam comes on by itself through the flasher control (unstable mode) with the main beams switched off.The low beam activation relay is controlled by the Body Computer relay energizing is activated by enablement signals with the TEG inserted (INT) and from the specific signal from the steering column switch unit.Activation/deactivation information is sent via the CAN network: in this way, the main beam warning light is activated in the instrument panel.
for legal reasons, if the dusk sensor is activated, only the flasher can be operated and the main beams cannot be turned on permanently; the AUTO function must be switched off in order to activate these lights.
