939005464 - E2520 GLOVE COMPARTMENT LIGHT - BOOT LIGHT - SUN VISOR LIGHT - OPERATING DESCRIPTION (Station Wagon)

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

On the basis of the battery voltage control logic (SBMT) described previously, the Body Computer M1 supplies the boot lights G40A, G40B and G41 from pin 23 of connector E. Pin 33 of connector E supplies the driver side sun visor light G31 and passenger side sun visor light G32; pin 16 of connector H supplies the glove compartment light G30 in a similar fashion. The boot opening switch located in the N47 lock sends an earth signal when the boot is open, which turns the G40A, G40B and G41boot lights on. The same signal is sent to the M1 body computer - pin 36 of connector E, boot open signal; the same signal is used by the alarm system (where fitted).    See E7015 ALARMthe glove compartment light G30 is switched on automatcially - when the switch I30 closes - as the compartment is opened. The lights in the visors G31 and G32 are switched on by an earth signal sent from the switch on the lights themselves.
