Turn the ignition ON and switch off all the consumers.Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the wiring harness connector A from the engine control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU Turn the ignition key ON and earth Pin 25 of control unit wiring connector A several times.    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU Connect a test bulb (21 W) and a multimeter in parallel and measure the voltage between pin 92 (wiring side) of control unit connector A.    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and Earth, checking it is greater than 11 VMove on to Step 12Move on to Step 7
Turn the ignition key OFF.In the engine compartment junction unit    See B001 JUNCTION UNIT , remove relay T9 from the base (centre of the bottom row).Connect a shunt cable with a fuse to Pins 30 and 87 of the base unit.Connect a test bulb (21 W) and a multimeter in parallel and measure the voltage between pin 92 of control unit connector A.    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and Earth, checking it is greater than 11 VMove on to Step 18Move on to Step 8
Connect a (21 W) test lamp and a multimeter in parallel and measure the voltage between pins 30 and 86 of the base unit and earth, checking that it is greater than 11 V.Move on to Step 18Move on to Step 9
In the engine compartment junction unit    See B001 JUNCTION UNIT , remove fuse F18 from the base unit (it is the second from the left in the bottom row).Connect a (21 W) test lamp and a multimeter in parallel and measure the voltage between the fuse input contact and earth, checking that it is greater than 11 V.Move on to Step 11Move on to Step 10
If faults are present, repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the engine compartment junction unit and the battery    See E1010 POWER SUPPLY The test can be considered overReplace the junction unit    Op. 5505A13 ADDITIONAL JUNCTION UNIT IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT - R.R.
Replace the engine compartment junction unit    Op. 5505A13 ADDITIONAL JUNCTION UNIT IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT - R.R. The test can be considered over
Connect a test lamp (21 W) and a multimeter in parallel and measure the voltage between pin 8 of control unit connector A.    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and Earth, checking it is less than 11 VReplace the engine management control unit    Op. 1056F82 CONTROL UNIT SINGLE OF INJECTION IGNITION SYSTEM R R
Turn the ignition key OFF.In the engine compartment junction unit    See B001 JUNCTION UNIT , remove fuse F21 from the base (third from the left in the lower row). Turn the ignition key to MAR.Connect a (21 W) test bulb and a multimeter in parallel and measure the voltage between the fuse input contact and earth, checking that it is less than 11 V. Continue to Step 15.Move on to Step 14
If faults are present, repair or, if necessary, replace the electrical wiring between the engine management control unit and the engine compartment junction unit.    See E5030 PETROL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT The test can be considered overReplace the junction unit    Op. 5505A13 ADDITIONAL JUNCTION UNIT IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT - R.R.
Turn the ignition key OFF.In the engine compartment junction unit    See B001 JUNCTION UNIT , remove relay T10 from the base unit (it is the second from the left in the bottom row).Connect a (21 W) test lamp and a multimeter in parallel and measure the voltage between pins 30 of the base unit and earth, checking that it is greater than 11 V.Move on to Step 10
