939005318 - 2720D18 DIFFERENTIAL SIDE CONSTANT VELOCITY JOINT (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R. WITH DRIVESHAFT REMOVED - INCLUDES BOOT REPLACEMENT

Removing ( Refitting ) - Position the rear driveshaft in a vice fitted with protective jaws.1. Remove the protective boot retaining bands.2. Retract the protective boot to uncover the joint.- Remove the grease from the joint.
1. Remove the circlip (1a) and release the differential internal driveshaft (1b) from the bearing.
1. Remove the bearing circlip.2. Using a suitable drift (2a) and mallet, remove the bearing (2b) from the driveshaft.- Remove the boot from the driveshaft.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Wash the constant velocity joint components thoroughly using diesel oil or petrol and visually inspect that there are no signs of seizing or grooves on the balls or seats.- Position the new protective boot on the driveshaft.- Fit the bearing for the joint in its housing and secure it using a new circlilp.- Fill the differential internal driveshaft and the protective boot with the recommended grease.
