CHECK TO BE PERFORMEDRESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1Using the diagnostic equipment, check that the engine coolant temperature is in a range between 10 and 32 °CMove on to Step 3
2Disconnect the injector connector and check that the resistance between Pins 1 and 2 is between 11 and 14 Ohm and make a note of the resistance reading.Repeat the test for each injectorReplace the injector    Op. 1056F70 INJECTOR ONE R R WITH FUEL MANIFOLD PIPE REMOVED INCLUDES GASKET REPLACEMENT
3Subtract the lower value measured from the higher one and check that the difference is more than 3 OhmMove on to Step 5
4Calculate the average of the resistance readings and replace the injector    Op. 1056F70 INJECTOR ONE R R WITH FUEL MANIFOLD PIPE REMOVED INCLUDES GASKET REPLACEMENT whose resistance value is furthest away from the average figure.The test can be considered over
5Using the diagnostic equipment, check that the engine coolant temperature is less than 94 °CWait until the coolant temperature is lower than 94 °C
6Check that the fuel tank is at least 1/4 full (reading on the gauge) and add fuel if necessaryPress the START/STOP button (panel off).Connect a pressure gauge to the injectors.Press the START/STOP button (panel on).Check that the fuel pressure increases (whilst the pump is working) between 5.7 and 6.3 barContinue as instructed in the    See Test 1040OA FUEL SUPPLY CIRCUIT CHECK
7Leave the pressure in the rail to stabilize and check that the variation in pressure is less than 0.4 bar from then over the next minuteContinue as instructed in the    See Test 1040OA FUEL SUPPLY CIRCUIT CHECK
8Press the START/STOP button (panel off).Connect a 5 V current generator to the terminals of the connector for injector 1    See N070 INJECTOR Check that the fuel pressure increases (whilst the pump is working) and make a note of the figure reached.Activate the generator with a current between 0.5 and 2.5 A opening the connector and producing a fall in the rail pressure.Make a note of the new pressure reading.Repeat the test for each injector
9Calculate the falls in pressure for each injector and work out the average. Check that the difference in the fall in pressure is not more than 0.1 bar from the average for any of the injectorsReplace the injector    Op. 1056F70 INJECTOR ONE R R WITH FUEL MANIFOLD PIPE REMOVED INCLUDES GASKET REPLACEMENT
