Follow the safety instructions Op. 5040 AIR CONDITIONING CASING AND COMPONENTS

- Position the vehicle on a lift.- Drain the coolant Op. 0010T84 COOLANT FOR AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM - DEHYDRATE AND REPRESSURIZE 1. Undo the bolt (1a) and disconnect the connector (1b) from the compressor (1c).

Seal the connectors that have been disconnected using suitable plugs to prevent dampness and impurities from entering the system.

1. Working behind the right front headlamp, undo the nut (1a) and disconnect the intermediate fitting (1b) of the pipe from the compressor to the expansion valve.2. Disconnect pipe (2a) from retaining collar (2b).

- Raise the vehicle. Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R. 1. Undo the nut (1a) and disconnect the connector (1b) from the condenser.2. Remove the pipe.

Refitting ( Removing

) - Check that the pipe with the rapid connector (from the evaporator ) to the compressor and to the condenser is not damaged and that there are no cracks that could compromise the seal.

Replace the O rings for the connectors. Only use green coloured seals that are resistant to R134a coolant. Lubricate the connector threads using anti-freeze.

1. Place the pipe in position.2. Position the pipe fitting (2a) on condenser (2b) and tighten nut (2c) to the specified torque.

Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R. - Lower the vehicle.1. Connect pipe (1a) to retaining collar (1b).2. Connect the connector (2a) for the pipe from the compressor to the expansion valve and tighten the nut (2b) to the recommended torque.

1. Connect the connector (1a) to the compressor (1b) and tighten the bolt (1c) to the recommended torque.

- Repressurize the coolant Op. 0010T84 COOLANT FOR AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM - DEHYDRATE AND REPRESSURIZE - Remove the vehicle from the lift.
