939010122 - S035 NOISE ' POWER ASSISTED STEERING / END OF TRAVEL

Whilst the steering is operated there is a noise when it reaches the end of travel position.
0PRELIMINARY CHECKSALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Visually inspect the level of the power assisted steering fluid in the reservoir. Conduct a test by steering completely to one side and then releasing the steering wheelMove on to Step 11. Fluid level too low.1. Restore the correct fluid level: if there are leaks, continue follow the instructions in    See table X030 POWER ASSISTED STEERING SYSTEM FLUID LEAKS
2. The noise increases towards the end of travel position and with the engine speed (roar)2. Move on to Step 1
3. The noise remains constant (hissing whilst steering, puffing on release)3. No intervention is nececssary: the noise is due to the by-pass valve that discharges the excess pressure

Visually inspect the power assisted steering fluid in the reservoir.
