Disconnect the electrical connector for the climate control fan See H081 CLIMATE CONTROL FAN CONTROLPosition the fan speed knob in neutral postion (fan symbol) and check that:
There is an open circuit between pins 1 and 2.
There is an open circuit between pins 1 and 3.
There is an open circuit between pins 1 and 5.
Place the fan speed knob at 1 and check that:
There is electrical continuity between pins 1 and 2.
There is an open circuit between pins 1 and 3.
There is an open circuit between pins 1 and 5.
Place the fan speed knob at 2 and check that:
There is electrical continuity between pins 1 and 3.
There is an open circuit between pins 1 and 2.
There is an open circuit between pins 1 and 5.
Place the fan speed knob at 3 and check that:
There is electrical continuity between pins 1 and 2.
There is an open circuit between pins 1 and 3.
There is an open circuit between pins 1 and 5.
Place the fan speed knob at 4 and check that:
There is electrical continuity between pins 1 and 5.
