1Fit the key in the ignition.With the engine off and all users off, the Target Turbo Pressure must be within a range between 0.9 and 1.2 bars.Under the same conditions, the Measured Turbo Pressure must be in a range between 0.9 and 1.2 bars and in any case must be approximately equal to external pressureMove on to Step 6
2With the engine idling and accelerator pedal not operated, the Target Turbo Pressure must be within a range between 0.9 and 1.2 bars.Under the same conditions, the Measured Turbo Pressure must be within a range between 0.9 and 1.2 bars.Move on to Step 6

4With the accelerator pedal slightly operated and engine speed equal to 3000 rpm, the Target Turbo Pressure must be within a range between 10 and 23 bars.Under the same conditions, the Measured Turbo Pressure must be within a range between 10 and 23 bars.Move on to Step 6

6Press the START/STOP button and turn off the engine. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the fuel pressure sensor.Press the START/STOP button.Measure the voltage between regulator Pins 2 and 1    See N087 FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR ON RAILEnsure that it is in a range between 4.8 and 5.2 V.Move on to Step 8

8Measure the voltage between sensor Pin 3    See K083 FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR and earth. Ensure that it is in a range between 4.9 and 6.0 V.Move on to Step 7
9With the tester in Parameter mode, display the Measured Turbo Pressure Ensure it is in a range between 4.8 and 5.2 VReplace the engine management control unit    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - .R
10Connect a shunt cable with a fuse between sensor Pin 3    See K083 FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR and the earth.Check that now the Measured Turbo Pressure is less than 0.3 VReplace the engine management control unit    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - .R
