939003544 - 7005 PASSENGER COMPARTMENT FRONT SIDE DOORS
CONTROLS
The controls for the following functions are located on the driver''s door panel trim:
- driver''s front window opening/closing;
- passenger side front window opening/closing;
- left rear window opening/closing;
- right rear window opening/closing;
- rear electric windows lock;
- exterior rear view mirror joystick.
OPERATION
All the functions described here are managed by the two door control units and the luggage compartment control unit (for the rear doors) See descriptions 5505 INSTRUMENT/GAUGE ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS |
Door locking / unlocking
The simultaneous operation of the four door locks takes place via:
- - TEG the remote control;
- - the locking/unlocking button in the centre console.
The fuel flap is also locked/unlocked at the same time as the doors, controlled by the same driver''s door logic. |
If the remote control fails, insert the metal insert (inside the key) in the lock in the driver''s door and turn it.With the central locking on, pulling the interior opening lever for one of the doors causes the closure for all the doors to be released. If there is no electrical power supply the doors can be locked manually |
The LED in the driver''s door produces the following signals:
- Locking the locks: the LED lights up for 3 seconds. If some of the doors or the boot are not properly shut at the time when the locks are locked, the LED flashes at 3 Hz for 3 seconds;
- Dead lock activation: the LED flashes twice for 0.5 seconds;
- Unlocking the locks: the LED goes out.
Front electric windows
The electric windows for the front doors are operated through the switches on the driver''s door (both windows) and the passenger side (passenger side only).Automatic operation takes place as follows:
- if the button is pressed is between 60 and 300 milliseconds, operation is manual. the glass goes up/down only with the key pressed;
- f the key is pressed for longer than 300 milliseconds, operation is automatic: even if the button is released, the glass continues to move up/down until the end of travel position is reached or until the intervention of the anti-crush safety system (if fitted);
- pressing the button again whilst the window is moving stops it in the position it is in;
- if the button is pressed for less than 60 milliseconds, this is ignored (it is treated as an accidental knock).
If a failure is detected in the system or if the anti-crush safety function is activated 3 times in the space of 1 minute or if there is a failure, the system automatically enters into recovery mode (self-protection).This condition is evident from the window closing by being raised in stages. |
If this happens the system restoral procedure must be carried out as follows:
- open the windows;
- extract the key (TEG) from the starting device and then insert it again
Rear view mirror adjustment
The door mirrors can be electrically adjusted in two directions using a joystick control located in the door controls on the driver''s side: a selection cursor makes it possible to choose either the left or the right mirror.The button controls two electrical motors located in each of the two mirrors: one motor allows the rotation of the mirror on the horizontal axis, another on the vertical axis.Another button controls the folding back of the mirrors if required (for example when trying to get through a narrow space).On the HIGH version, in addition to moving the door mirrors manually, it is possible to memorize and later on recall 3 positions defined in relation to the position of the driver''s seat; the passenger side rear view mirror is also positioned automatically when reverse gear is engaged. |
