939005480 - E2010 SIDE LIGHTS/NUMBER PLATE LIGHT - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION (Station Wagon, Xenon Gas headlamps)
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
Two signals (earth) are sent from the steering wheel stalk unit H5 to the Body Computer M1 that manages both side lights and low beams in manual or AUTO mode (automatic dusk sensor activation). The "Light 1" signal - is sent to pin 28 of connector G of the Body Computer M1 from the steering column switch unit H5, pin 7 of connector C. The "Light 2" signal - is sent to pin 2 of connector I of the Body Computer M1 from the steering column switch unig H5, pin 8 of connector C. The side lights are turned on manually when the "Light 1" signal is missing and the "Light 2" signal is present. The side lights are activated in AUTO mode when the Light 1 signal is not present and the Light 2 signal is not present. If both signals are present, the lights are permanently off.The side lights are automatically activated by the dusk sensor housed in the mirror P65 (signal via the A-BUS line to pin 7 of connector D of M1); the dusk sensor in P65 receives a supply from the INT line protected by fuse F49 of junction unit B2.The lights are also activated by the parking lights button located in the left switch unit H90 which sends an earth signal to pin 17 of connector H of M1.The Body Computer M1 controls the supply for the front side lights F10 (left) and F11 (right) from pins 40 and 30 of connector B, for the rear side lights F30 and F35 (left), F31 and F36 (right) and the number plate lights F50 and F51 from pins 5, 6, 9 of connector D and 38 of connector E.Via the CAN line, the Body Computer M1 is connected to instrument panel E50 to manage the side lights on warning light and, if faults are detected in the circuit or in the bulbs, the lights failure warning light; in the vent of a fault with the dusk sensor there is a specific signal.
