939010372 - 0010T41 MANUAL GEARBOX OIL CHECK LEVEL AND TOP UP IF NECESSARY

The gearbox fluid level only needs checking in the event of a lost external seal and repairs to the gearbox. Top up if necessary.

- Position the vehicle on a lift.    Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R. 1. Undo the oil filler plug. 1. Unscrew the gearbox oil drain plug and allow the oil to drain out into a suitable container.

The threaded plug (a) should not be used for draining and refilling the gearbox oil. It should not therefore be removed from its seat.

- Clean the drain plug and the plug seat removing any residues of sealant.- Apply sealant (LOCTITE 510 or the equivalent) to the drain plug thread and tighten in its seat to the recommended torque.

- Add fluid of the specified type and quantity through the filler opening.

The quantity of oil indicated in the table is the total quantity in the gearbox (to be used in case of refilling following the overhauling of the gearbox at the bench) because 0.2 litres remain inside the gearbox in the case of partial operations carried out on the vehicle.

- Clean the drain plug and tighten it to the recommended torque.
