If the catalytic converter is being replaced, when the refitting is complete the following operations must be carried out using the Examiner.

- Position the vehicle on a lift. Op. 1084A16 OIL DIPSTICK PIPE - R.R Op. 1048A50 TURBOCHARGER AIR INTAKE PIPE - R.R. Op. 1088D14 UPPER RADIATOR COOLANT OUTLET HOSE - R.R. Op. 1088D10 LOWER RADIATOR COOLANT OUTLET HOSE - R.R. Op. 1072C44 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT SHIELD - R+R Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R. Op. 1076B72 INTERMEDIATE EXHAUST PIPE WITH HOSE SECTION - R+R 1. Undo the catalytic converter overheating thermal coupling and remove it.2. Undo the bolts (2a), (2b) and remove the catalytic converter mounting bracket (2c).

1. Loosen the collar (1a) and remove catalytic converter (1b).

Refitting ( Removing

) 1. Place the catalytic conveter (1a) in its housing and fasten it tightening the collar (1b) to the recommended torque.

1. Place the catalytic conveter mounting bracket in its housing and secure it using the bolts.2. Position the catalytic converter overheating thermal coupling in its housing and tighten it to the recommended torque.
