2427583 - L10 CLIMATE CONTROL NOT COOLING

The fan works properly and sends air into the interior compartment in accordance with set flow patterns, but this air remains at the external temperature and is not cooled.
Cooling circuit activation enablement is controlled by the climate control and engine management control units. So if the air conditioning does not cool under particular conditions, this is correct.
Results of the tests
0PRELIMINARY CHECKAll OKProblems metOperation
Connect the climate control system to the repressurizing equipment and check the system pressure See Test   5040B  CHECK ON OPERATION OF AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM (PRESSURES) Continue to Step 1Pressure not correctEliminate leaks and top up climate control system Op. 5040A10
1CHECKING WITH DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTAll OKProblems metOperation

Connect the examiner and check for errors at the climate control node:

  • in air mixing motors;
  • in treated air sensors;
  • in frost sensor.

2ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT CHECKAll OKProblems metOperation

Check continuity/insulation of electrical connection:

  • for air mixing motor(s) if there is an error at the mixing motors;
  • for the treated air sensor(s) if there is an error at the treated air sensor(s);
  • for the frost sensor if there is an error at the frost sensor.

3CHECKING WITH DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTAll OKProblems metOperation

Keeping the Examiner diagnostic equipment connected, check:

  • that there are no errors at the engine management node
  • through active diagnosis, that the compressor engagement relay is working properly, making sure, at the same time, that the compressor electromagnetic coupling is activated.
  • the correct operation of the solar sensor See Test   5040DC  Check on operation of solar sensor
Continue to Step 6The relay is not activated and the coupling is not activated.Continue to Step 4
The relay is activated but the coupling is not activated.Continue to Step 5
