198001755 - I008 SIDE LIGHTS NOT WORKING

When the stalk switch wheel is operated with the key ON, the side lights and/or number plate lights do not work.

	Check correct battery voltage	Move on to Step 2	Battery voltage incorrect.	Restore the correct voltage
2		All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Using an Examiner in Body Computer mode, check that there are no errors	Move on to Step 3	Presence of errors	Continue as instructed by the diagnostic equipment
3	CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	With the Examiner diagnostic equipment in the Body Computer ambient check that the function in question is correctly activated in Active Diagnosis.- Front/rear left/right side light control	Move on to Step 4	Side lights will not light because of blown light bulbs	Check the alternator is working correctly and replace the light bulbs
4	STEERING COLUMN SWITCH UNIT CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check that the steering column switch unit is working properly, especially the switch for the side lights and the engagement of the relay in the Body Computer	Move on to Step 5	Stalk unit not working properly	Replace the steering column switch unit    Op. 5550A10 STALK UNIT ASSEMBLY - R+R
			Steering column switch unit connection to earth broken	Restore the correct earth connection
			Wiring between stalk and Body Computer interrupted	Restore correct wiring    See E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS
