STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDREMEDIAL ACTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1Siren power supply checkConnect an Examiner in Voltmeter mode with the positive probe to pin 1 ( +30 ) and the negative earthed and read a direct voltage of approximately 12 Volts    See E7015 ALARMRestore the wiring between the Body Computer node and the siren control unit at pin 1.    See E7015 ALARMReplace fuse F39 in the dashboard control unit, having ascertained what caused it to blow
2A-Bus serial line checkDisconnect the wiring connector for the siren and the Body Computer connectorConnect an Examiner in Ohmmeter mode. Check the continuity of the wiring between pin 2 of the siren connector and the Body Computer.    See E7015 ALARMCheck the insulation of the earth line    See E7015 ALARMRestore wiring continuityRestore wiring insulationIf the checks at points 1 and 2 give normal resultsReplace the sirenOp. 5580E40 If the siren is OK, replace the Body Computer    Op. 5505A35 MAIN BODY COMPUTER/JUNCTION UNIT - R.R.
3Check earth connectionDisconnect the wiring connector for the sirenConnect an Examiner in Ohmmeter mode between pin 3 and earth, and check that the resistance is less than 1 OhmRestore the correct earth connection (left-hand front engine compartment)
