Removing ( Refitting )
Follow the safety instructions    Op. 5040 AIR CONDITIONING CASING AND COMPONENTS
- Position the vehicle on a lift.- Drain the coolant    Op. 0010T84 COOLANT FOR AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM - DEHYDRATE AND REPRESSURIZE     Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R.     Op. 7210E10 R.R. FRONT BUMPER     Op. 1048A23 COLD AIR INTAKE FOR AIR FILTER - R.R 1. Remove the air duct leading to engine radiator (1a) after unscrewing bolts (1b) and releasing retainers (1c).
1. Undo the nuts (1a) and (1b) and disconnect pipe connectors (1c) and (1d) from the condenser.
Seal the connectors that have been disconnected using suitable plugs to prevent dampness and impurities from entering the system.
2. Release power steering system cooling coil (2a) from retaining collar (2b).3. Undo the nut (3a) and remove the pipe retainer (3b).4. Undo the condenser nuts.5. Recover the bracket.6. Move condenser (6a) slightly to one side by releasing from retainers (6b).
1. Undo the bolts fixing the engine oil radiator.2. Release retainers (2a) and move engine oil radiator (2b), the secure to crossmember (2c).3. Remove the condenser.
- If necessary, remove the dehydrating filter.    Op. 5040A44 AIR CONDITIONING DRIER FILTER/ACCUMULATOR - R+R Refitting ( Removing ) - Check that the condenser is intact and does not show signs of damage or deposits of dirt on the finned surface.- If removed, refit the dehydrating filter.    Op. 5040A44 AIR CONDITIONING DRIER FILTER/ACCUMULATOR - R+R
Replace the O rings for the connectors. Only use green coloured seals that are resistant to R134a coolant. Lubricate the connector threads using anti-freeze.
- Position the condenser on the engine oil radiator and do up the retainers.- Tighten the bolts fixing the condenser to the engine oil radiator radiator.1. Position condenser (1a) and do up retainers (1b).2. Position the bracket.3. Tighten the condenser retaining nuts.4. Position the pipe retainer (4a) and tighten nut (4b).5. Attach power steering system cooling coil (5a) to retaining collar (5b).6. Connect the fittings of pipes (6a, 6b) to the condenser and tighten the nuts to the specified torque (6c, 6d).
