1With the ignition ON, check for the presence at Pin 5 of the headlamp alignment corrector front potentiometer connector    See K001 HEADLAMP ALIGNMENT CORRECTOR FRONT POTENTIOMETER (CAF)of a voltage of 5 V.Move on to Step 5Move on to Step 2
2If faults are present, restore the continuity of the wiring between the Master headlamp (left side) and the front potentiometer    See E3080 HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR The test can be considered overMove on to Step 3
3With the key ON, check for the presence at Pin 1 of the Master headlamp    See F010 LEFT HEADLAMP of a voltage of 5 V.Replace the master headlamp    Op. 5540B81 LEFT GAS DISCHARGE LIGHT CLUSTER - R.R.
4Check the fault disappears.The test can be considered overReplace the headlamp control unitOp. 5540B42
5With the ignition ON, check for the presence at Pin 5 of the headlamp alignment corrector rear potentiometer connector    See K002 HEADLAMP ALIGNMENT CORRECTOR REAR POTENTIOMETER (CAF)of a voltage of 5 V.Move on to Step 8Move on to Step 6
6If faults are present, restore the continuity of the wiring between the Master headlamp (left side) and the rear potentiometer    See E3080 HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR The test can be considered overMove on to Step 7
7With the key ON, check for the presence at Pin 4 of the headlamp    See F010 LEFT HEADLAMP of a voltage of 5 V.Move on to Step 4Replace the master headlamp    Op. 5540B81 LEFT GAS DISCHARGE LIGHT CLUSTER - R.R.

12If faults are present, restore the continuity of the wiring between the Master headlamp (left side) and the rear potentiometer    See E3080 HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR The test can be considered overMove on to Step 13
13With the key ON, check for the presence at Pin 6 of the headlamp    See F010 LEFT HEADLAMP of an earth signal.Move on to Step 4Replace the master headlamp    Op. 5540B81 LEFT GAS DISCHARGE LIGHT CLUSTER - R.R.
14Turn the ignition key ON.Disconnect the front sensor connecting rod.Connect a Voltmeter across Pin 2 of the headlamp 6-way connector    See F010 LEFT HEADLAMP and Earth.Check that the voltage varies from 0.5 and 4.5 V when the sensor mobile axis is turned by hand.Move on to Step 16Move on to Step 15
15If faults are present, restore the continuity of the wiring between the Master headlamp (left side) and the front potentiometer    See E3080 HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR The test can be considered overReplace the sensor    Op. 5540C42 SENSOR FOR CORRECTING/ALIGNING GAS DISCHARGE LIGHTING UNITS ON FRONT SUSPENSION - R R
16Turn the ignition key ON.Disconnect the rear sensor connecting rod.Connect a Voltmeter across Pin 5 of the headlamp 6-way connector    See F010 LEFT HEADLAMP and Earth.Check that the voltage varies from 0.5 and 4.5 V when the sensor mobile axis is turned by hand.The test can be considered overMove on to Step 17
17If faults are present, restore the continuity of the wiring between the Master headlamp (left side) and the rear potentiometer    See E3080 HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR Replace the sensor    Op. 5540C46 SENSOR FOR CORRECTING/ALIGNING GAS DISCHARGE LIGHTING UNITS ON REAR SUSPENSION - R.R.
