323001396 - X001 EXCESSIVE FUEL CONSUMPTION

The engine appears to be running smoothly, but the fuel consumption is higher than previously for the vehicle. The consumption figures in the technical documentation have been defined during the course of homologation tests in accordance with directive 93.116/CE. These tests simulate an urban cycle and an average extra-urban cycle and may therefore not be indicative as fuel consumption depends greatly on the style of driving.

	Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic connector and check the following at the engine management control unit:- in error mode;- that there are no faults;- in the parameters mode, the plausibility of all the parameters.	Move on to Step 2.	Error detected in the engine management control unit.	Continue following the instructions given by the diagnostic equipment.
